מי אנחנוWho we are

פוקי הוא משחק קוד פתוח וחינמי לפעוטות (ברישיון MIT), שפותח על ידי תום שדה. כל הקוד גלוי ב-GitHub, כך שכל מה שכתוב כאן אפשר לבדוק. Puki is a free, open source game for toddlers (MIT license), made by Tom Sadeh. All of its code is public on GitHub, so everything on this page can be checked.

מה נשמר במכשירWhat is kept on the device

רק במכשיר עצמו, בתוך האפליקציה: ההגדרות (שפה, השם של הילד או הילדה, בת או בן, מגבלת זמן, כתובת המחשב של פוקי), ההתקדמות במשחקים, ומשפטים של פוקי שההורים אישרו במחשב (הטקסט והקול שלהם). כל זה נמחק כשמוחקים את האפליקציה. Only on the device itself, inside the app: the settings (language, the child's name, girl or boy, the time limit, the address of Puki's PC), progress in the games, and Puki's lines that the parents approved on the PC (their text and voice). All of it is deleted when the app is uninstalled.

The microphone is on only while the child presses Puki to talk to him, in the games where the child says a word, in the echo game, and for a few seconds after a question in a game (so the answer can be said instead of tapped; parents can turn this off in the settings). The recording goes only to Puki's "brain": the family's own PC on the home network (over an encrypted connection), or the brain that runs on the phone itself. The brain works out what was said and answers. The recording itself is never kept; the family's PC may remember the words, as described below. In the echo game the voice is played back and discarded right away.

GitHub ו-Hugging Face רואים, כמו כל אתר, את כתובת ה-IP של מי שמוריד מהם. הם לא מקבלים מאיתנו שום מידע אחר. Like any website, GitHub and Hugging Face can see the IP address of whoever downloads from them. They get no other information from us.

המחשב של פוקיPuki's PC

The brain on the family's PC is software the parents install and control. It doesn't send what it hears to any cloud service and doesn't keep recordings. A small dashboard, which opens on that PC only, shows live what Puki heard and answered, so the parents can see. That list is kept in memory only and is gone when the brain stops.

So Puki can say "yesterday you fed the elephant!", the brain on the family's PC keeps a log of playing: the moments in the games, the words the child said to Puki (as text, not recordings) and what Puki answered. When the brain goes to sleep, it writes a few lines in a diary and a short page about the child (favorite things, words, what they're learning). Sensitive moments (hurt, fear, big questions) are never kept. All of it stays in Puki's folder on that PC, the dashboard shows it, and none of it is sent anywhere. Memory can be turned off ("memory": false in config.json), and deleting the memory folder inside Puki's folder erases it. The brain on the phone keeps no memory.

If Puki says something that isn't right, parents can flag it in the settings or on the PC's dashboard. The report is kept only with you, on the tablet and the PC. Only if you choose to send a report to us does the app open your email with the text you saw, with the child's name replaced; you can change or cut anything, and you send it yourselves. We use reports only to fix Puki.

ילדיםChildren

פוקי נבנה לפעוטות. אנחנו לא אוספים שום מידע אישי מילדים (מה שנשמר, נשמר רק במכשיר ובמחשב של המשפחה), אין בו פרסומות, קישורים החוצה, צ'אט עם אנשים אחרים או רכישות, וההגדרות נמצאות מאחורי שער להורים. Puki is made for toddlers. We collect no personal information from children (what is kept stays on the family's own device and PC); it has no ads, outside links, chat with other people or purchases, and its settings sit behind a parent gate.

מחיקת מידעDeleting data

מוחקים את האפליקציה, וכל מה שנשמר במכשיר נמחק איתה. במחשב: מוחקים את התיקייה של פוקי (או רק את התיקייה memory שבתוכה, כדי למחוק את הזיכרון). אין אצלנו שום מידע למחוק. Uninstall the app and everything it kept on the device goes with it. On the PC, delete Puki's folder (or just the memory folder inside it, to erase the memory). We hold no data to delete.
